Spudíhiē Se (Spu /dɪ̞j/ [valley; canyon] [pork]) is a subtropical Town located in Ckonx̄rävebehrt Hold, Iēiy̼cèrguqù Provence, within the Tauranian United Provinces.

The name Spudíhiē Se is derived from the Tauric language, as Spudíhiē Se was founded by Dyèlka Llywelyn, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Spudíhiē Se has a yearly average temperature of 26°C (78°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 29°C (84°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 24°C (75°F). Spudíhiē Se receives an average of 239 cm/y (94 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Spudíhiē Se covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 2772 m (9094 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Spudíhiē Se was founded durring the late 14th century in winter of the year 1259, by Dyèlka Llywelyn. The establishment of Spudíhiē Se suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Spudíhiē Se which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

Spudíhiē Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Spudíhiē Se is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Spudíhiē Se is buildings are built arround a single restrictive paverstone mainstreet which forms a counterclockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. The town's millitarily questionable fortifications are visibly old, but also obviously well maintained. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with routine mantance of the town's defences.

Something in your gut tells you that you may be unwelcome in Spudíhiē Se. The town seems like it’s not showing you the side of itself it would show to others. People mostly ignore your questions. Many folks ask you to leave their establishments, even before you’ve walked inside them. You should probably listen to them, as every time you’re asked to leave the person asking you to leave has referenced the town’s patron divine in some way. The little voice in the back of your mind that tells you when you’re in danger feels like it’s just glaring at you and muttering about how stupid you are for even remaining in town.

Civic Infrastructure

Spudíhiē Se has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Spudíhiē Se. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Spudíhiē Se's parks.

Spudíhiē Se has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Spudíhiē Se.

Spudíhiē Se possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Spudíhiē Se's grid is powered by mana accumulators.

Spudíhiē Se's old civil lighting system was converted to Galvanic Lamps recently, and expanded to provide nighttime illumination to all city streets.

Spudíhiē Se has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Spudíhiē Se's natural decorations nor waterways.

Spudíhiē Se has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

There’s a relatively new religion in Spudíhiē Se which is rapidly gaining power. It might be a sectarian offshoot of a major faith, the unique product of a new prophet, or an outside faith backed by wealthy and powerful foreign supporters. Depending on the demands made on believers, the new faith may be a matter of concern only to the existing clergy, or it might be a major flashpoint for conflict in the community.

Spudíhiē Se's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used makes use of a large oblong hall or building with double colonnades and a semicircular apse and symmetrical central-plan, resulting in buildings with a square central mass and four arms of equal length. Decorative features included domed rooves, arches, soaring spaces, and sumptuous decoration: marble columns and inlay, mosaics on the vaults, inlaid-stone pavements, and sometimes gold coffered ceilings.
